This is the way you always thought New Orleans would be. Inside and out!

Friends and guests (and our guests are our friends)!
It was great knowing you, and giving you a home in our home.

The sad news, however, is that the Josephine cannot host you again: She has sought and found new owners, and will now lead a private life what many a lady from New Orleans has tried before.
Out best wishes to her, and all y'all!  Farewell!

Vive la Nouvelle Orléans!

Dear Fellow Travelers,

Dan Fuselier and Mary Ann Weilbaecher, host and hostess of the Josephine Guest House for 25 years, are retiring.
We have enjoyed hosting and advising the many travelers we have met.
It was our pleasure to share the mysteries of our beloved New Orleans.

We will continue to persue the cuisine, music, and culture of our home town. We would love to hear from you.

Best regards,
Dan and Mary Ann

There is a side of New Orleans most visitors never see. The inside. But the Josephine Guest House offered you the rare pleasure of enjoying the graceful lifestyle of an old New Orleans home in the Garden District.

Built in 1870 in the Italianate style, the Josephine was faithfully restored to reflect and recall an era and attitude of timeless ease. Its furnishings of fine French Antiques, Gilt Mirrors, and Silver Sideboards created an aura of luxury that moved smoothly through the main parlors and six guest rooms.

Each of these spacious guest rooms had a private bath, and opened onto a balcony or gallery overlooking surrounding lawns and a hidden courtyard garden.

Take a virtual 360° tour through some of the rooms:

Guests of the Josephine enjoyed the Creole tradition of a light breakfast served on a tray. The steaming hot pot of cafe au lait and the fresh breads made mornings a special pleasure - compliments of the Paris trained proprietress.
